(Virtual Press Office) - Serbian retail real estate company “Robne kuce Beograd” (RKB) presents the RKB City Center Retail Space project of modernization and revitalization for more than 240,000 m2 of trading area on prime locations all over Serbia. More than 80 million Euro have been invested into the launch of RKB City Center Retail Space project in 2008 and 2009. At this moment the project represents the largest active real estate investment in retail sector in the Region. The RKB property investment company was incorporated in 1965 as a retail chain of department stores. After the fall of former Yugoslavia the breakdown of the RKB commenced and the institution of bankruptcy proceedings was ordered in 2002. In January 2008 the RKB company was purchased by its current owners – the Marfin Investment Group from Greece and the Verano Group from Serbia for the amount of 360 million Euros. It has been one of the most significant acquisitions in the region for the last 5 years. The RKB change their primary business activity scope and substitute the trading business for the retail space management and organisation.
