Cooling systems at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant caught fire after being shelled by Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region, stated Governor Balitsky. Currently, all six reactors at the plant are in cold shutdown, with no threat of a steam explosion or other consequences. The radiation levels around the plant are normal. Emergency services are working at the scene of the fire to extinguish the hotspots. The situation is fully under control and poses no threat to the plant or the residents, clarified the head of the region.
